Kungsleden Ski Challenge

Situated just above the Arctic Circle, the Kungsleden—or King's Trail—is a route of legendary status. Opened in the 1920s with the ambitious vision of threading through the most spectacular areas of Sweden, it was rightfully envisioned from its inception as the king of all trails.

The route traverses the pristine, mountainous landscape of Laponia—Europe's last great wilderness and the ancient grazing grounds of the indigenous Sámi reindeer herders. Deep in this remote, frozen landscape, you will find yourself at times 60km from the nearest road, utterly immersed in the profound silence and raw beauty of the Arctic.
